The Blackfriars Talks 2021

Digital Programme until 31 January 2022

Blackfriars Talks 2021

An in-person and digital programme

2020 was a pioneering year for Gloucester History Festival. It was the first year we held our Festival completely online. This year we offered a mix of in-person and digital events for everyone to enjoy.

Digital Blackfriars Talks events are still on sale, and the digital events festival has been extended until 31 January 2022 for most events. To access the online only programme and book your tickets, use the magnifying glass search function to search for “online.”

The 2021 Blackfriars Talks on the Theme of Frontiers and Pioneers will offer you interesting insights into the times we live in and how the events and key personalities of the past can help us contextualise the times we find ourselves in today. With Britain’s top historians and authors covering topics as broad as the eras they span, we can’t wait for you to join us in discovering the pioneers, and experiencing the frontiers they pushed wide open, for yourself.
