EXPLORE MORE OF
Widden Primary School
This is a very special school that opens its doors to children from many different homes, families and cultural backgrounds and treats them all with equal respect and value.
A brief Backstory
It has occupied its current site since 1986, growing in size and scope to welcome new communities and new families as they arrived in the area. Ofsted called the school ‘a beacon for multicultural harmony in the city…’ and it has been awarded School of Sanctuary status for its exemplary work with asylum seekers and refugees.
The school celebrates the fact that over forty languages are spoken by people in its community.
