Livestream Events - Autumn 2025

You can watch the Gloucester History Festival from anywhere, broadcast live from the Festival!

To view the livestream of an event you will need to purchase a ‘livestream’ ticket, by clicking the Livestream booking link button on the event page of the event you want to book.

Single Livestream events cost £7 each and can be purchased until Sunday 10pm on Sunday 12th October.

Digital Pass - Autumn Festival 2025

Access to all livestream events.

Watch them live or watch on demand until 11pm on Sunday 12th October.

The Digital Festival Pass costs £65 and can be purchased until 10pm on Sunday 12th October.

How do Livestream events work?

Once you have purchased your livestream event ticket, you will receive a confirmation email receipt.

At least 45 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin, you will receive a further email containing the livestream link and access instructions.

Digital pass holders will receive their join links the day before the festival begins (if purchased ahead of time), or an hour before the next event following the pass purchase.

Click on the link 5-10 minutes before the event starts and you can then view the livestream of the event exactly as it happens! Events will also be available to view via the same link until 11pm on Sunday 12th October.

Digital Programme – Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I view the livestream recording after the event has taken place?

Yes!  If you aren’t able to watch the livestream as it happens then you can click the same link to view the event recording. Events are available to view from one hour after the event end time until 11pm on Sunday 12th October.

  1. If I’m late to the event but it’s still taking place, can I still join?

You can join late to events. You can catch up on what you missed but you will need to wait until 1 hour after the event has finished to view the event recording using the same link.

  1. Can I share the link you’ve sent me with my friends?

No – only people who have purchased a livestream ticket can watch the event.  If you share your link with someone else then you won’t be able to view it yourself at the same time as it can only be viewed by one user.

  1. Some members of my family will be watching with me, do they need to pay?

Yes – please add the number of additional viewers when purchasing your livestream tickets.

  1. Can I pay to watch every event via livestream?

Yes – you can purchase a Digital Festival Pass for only £65, which gives livestream access to all livestreamed events within the Spring Weekend programme. Digital passes are available to buy at any time until 10pm on Sunday 12th October and allow you to watch all 9 days of events until 11pm on Sunday 12th October

  1. How much is a livestream ticket?

Every livestream ticket costs just £7 each.

  1. What equipment do I need to watch a livestream event?

You will need a device with a speaker and screen (i.e. a laptop, a smartphone, or a computer with speakers). Once you have bought a ticket, you’ll be emailed the link giving you access to the event lobby. If you would like to test your device to ensure that it’s suitable to watch the events, you can do this via the event lobby.  Click the profile picture in the top right corner and select ‘Test My Device’ to check that your system is compatible.

  1. Do I need Wifi access to view a livestream event?

Yes – the livestream event will be hosted on the internet, so you will need a reliable Wifi or data connection to view the event.

  1. What platform are you running your livestream events through?

All livestream events will be broadcast through Zoom (but you do not need a Zoom account to watch.)
