Event Details

Forbidden Music is based on the true story of Michael Haas, a young man who tried to convince the Chairman of Decca Records in the late 1980s to record music repressed by the Nazis. The book Forbidden Music has been published by Yale University Press.

This special event begins with a short radio play dramatising one of the key moments in the story, followed by what is set to be a fascinating interview with Michael himself. Michael lives in Gloucestershire and is Co-founder and Chair of Exilarte (Art in Exile) in Vienna.

This event has recently changed venue. It now takes place at the Heritage Hub. See event location for full details.
