Event Details

Join leading historian and Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum Tristram Hunt to hear the story of Josiah Wedgwood, the pioneering designer, entrepreneur, abolitionist and beacon of the early Industrial Revolution explored in his spectacular new biography. Wedgwood was perhaps the greatest ever English potter and British entrepreneur, and an influential radical campaigner. From his kilns in Stoke-on-Trent he not only revolutionised the production of ceramics but helped to usher in a mass consumer society and is described by Tristram Hunt as ‘the Steve Jobs of the 18th century’.
