From the first ever international rugby game in 1871 to the debut Rugby World Cup in 1987, from the creation of the Home Nation Championship in 1893 to the start of the professional game in 1995, things have certainly changed for the sport but the City’s support for the Cherry & Whites remains unwavering.

Spanning seven decades of Rugby history, legendary sixties and seventies player Mike Burton, Club President and leading seventies hooker Fred Reed, Gloucester icon of the eighties, nineties and noughties Andy Deacon and top 21st century player and Club Chief Executive Officer Alex Brown join Club historian Malc King to explore and celebrate key moments from 150 years of Gloucester Rugby. Also taking part will be stars of the current men and women’s teams, (training schedules permitting), to mark 150 years of the nation’s greatest Rugby Club.

Chaired by the fantastic Jo Durrant of BBC Radio Gloucestershire, whose great grandfather, Tom Spears, played for the club in the 1900’s.

All proceeds go to supporting the Gloucester Rugby Foundation’s heritage project.
