Event Details

In 1796, a Gloucestershire surgeon carried out one of the most important experiments in the history of medicine. More than just a tale of cows and blisters, the story of Edward Jenner is one of rigorous scientific method, of global solidarity, and of a vision for a revolution in the way we approach some of our most feared diseases. In this talk Owen Gower, General Manager at Dr Jenner’s House, will re-examine the life and legacy of the pioneer of vaccination.
