Discover the traces of Gloucester’s Saxon history. Hear the story of Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians who died in 918 and was buried in Gloucester, and learn about the role she played in shaping the city. This free tour will last around 1¼ hours and is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Successful bookings will be a sent a confirmation email, please take this with you to show to your guide. This can be a printed copy or shown on mobile.

The maximum number for each walk is 5 and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If oversubscribed, names will be kept and placed on a waiting list in case of drop outs. It may sometimes be possible to put on extra walks if guides are available.
