Event Details

Glimmer, is a community arts project linked to the Unlocking the Severn conservation programme, based on the migratory routes of the endangered Twaite Shad fish.

During lockdown we have been collecting memories and reflections about the beautiful River Severn (images, text and audio), and will be sharing these within a collaborative sculpture created with the help of people across Gloucestershire. Today artist Jacqui Grange will be at the National Waterways Museum to hand out free scale making kits, collect scales already made by local people and give advice.

If you can’t pick up your scale making kits today, visit Creative Solutions online to see instructional videos, templates and much more.

Glimmer is commissioned by Unlocking the Severn, a conservation and river engagement project from Canal & River Trust, Severn Rivers Trust, Environment Agency and Natural England; funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund & European Union LIFE programme.
