City Voices 2020

Saturday 5th – Sunday 20th September

Whats Happening?

Our City voices programme brings the whole city together through a variety of events which fuse together talks, exhibitions, workshops, re-enactments, performances and much more.

Ideal for both regular festival visitors and those joining the festival for the first time, for adults to enjoy on their own, with their families or as part of a small group, and for families to enjoy with their children, these events really are for everyone to enjoy in a way that is relevant to them.

Our City Voices programme encourages you to explore your history and learn how it impacts your life today. Try your hand at creating something in a workshop, visit an exhibition and become inspired by what you see, watch a film and deepen your understanding or converse with other people to understand different points of view.

This year’s City Voices programme will be slimmer than usual but we are creating a library of digital content for you to enjoy, and activities, trails and exhibitions that you can enjoy safely as part of the Gloucester Looking Up programme, funded by Historic England.

A special thank you to Andrew Pitt for his support of City Voices which has allowed us to programme a more innovative, accessible programme of events than ever before involving communities from across Gloucester.
